Cox Monett Hospital announced that its radiology department has improved its diagnostic imaging services provided to women, after replacing its analog mammography machine with a new digital mammography unit. Elaine McElroy, radiologic technologist at Cox Monett Hospital, said that the hospital acquired GE Senographe Essential digital mammogram machine back in February. The previous analog mammography machine in the hospital was working since 1989. McElroy added that the first facility to install digital mammography system was CoxHealth, back in 2001. Currently, Cox South, Cox North, Cox Monett and Ferrell-Duncan are all using digital technology.
