A New Technique Reduces The Need For Breast Biopsy: Women’s Imaging

Women’s Imaging: According to a new study, using a combination of sound and light waves would provide a non-invasive and inexpensive technique to reduce the need for breast biopsies required for women suspecting a lesion in their breast tissue. The new technique uses ultrasound-guided difusse optical tomography (DOT), and the study appears in the online edition and the August print issue of Radiology.
