Swedish researchers have launched a method by analyzing historic radiology pictures for easing the burden of future osteoporotic fractures.A study of 8,257 patients at the Karolinska Institute (Stockholm, Sweden) used Sectra’s (Linköping, Sweden) patented digital X-ray radiogrammetry (DXR) way in order to determine patients that suffered from a hip fracture. Through structured osteoporosis prevention program millions of Euros can be protected.
