Brain Imaging For Early Detection Of Neurodegenerative Diseases, Study
According to a new study, brain imaging can help in detecting sleeping abnormalities affecting patients with higher risk for developing neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease and dementia. The findings of the study will appear in the November print issue of The Lancet Neurology. During their study, an international researching team studied individuals with rapid-eye-movement sleep behavior disorder (IRBD). The researchers noted that brain imaging procedures can identify brain disorders related to neurodegenerative diseases long before the appearance of the symptoms of such diseases on patients.
