Thermography To Prevent Mortalities In Premature Babies

In a recent study, researchers at Duke University were able to develop Thermography, which is a new, cost effective and non-invasive test that may offer help in preventing mortalities in premature babies. This study was published in the Journal of Surgical Radiology.Statistics show that premature birth occurs in about 10% of all the pregnancy cases in the US. Among the most dangerous conditions that affect premature babies throughout this stressful period is necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC). In this disorder, an infection develops the intestine of the baby leading to mortality.
