Radiotherapy Affects Sleeping Quality

According to a new study, head and neck cancer patients are suffering from the side effects of radiotherapy, such as dry mouth and pain, which cause disturbance to their sleeping. Jeffrey Terrell, Cancer Center expert from the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center, said that the reduced quality of sleeping can result in adverse effects on the immune system of patients. The study was highlighted in the online version of the journal The Laryngoscope.
