The Center for Diagnostic Imaging Opens A New Facility In Indiana
Medical imaging has been one of the most significantly important tools providing help to doctors during diagnosis. Diagnostic imaging centers are competing between each
other to provide higher levels of service. For instance, the Indiana-based Center for Diagnostic Imaging decided to establish a new facility for its patients at the western section of the city. The Center decided to do so after reviewing the needs of the patients in the city. The Center for Diagnostic Imaging started a new outpatient medical imaging and image-guided procedure center in Avon. Another MRI facility at the center of the city was closed in order to avoid duplicating services. The recently opened imaging facility in Avon has several services imaging systems including a 1.5T open MRI device, digital X-ray systems, in addition to the capability of performing image-guided interventional procedures that provide help during the diagnosis and treatment of joint disorders and back pain.

Including Images In Radiology Report Improves Clinical Decision Making
According to a recent study, including diagnostic imaging scans with radiology reports significantly improve efficiency and communication between radiologists and referring doctors, in addition to enhancing patient care. The study was carried out by researchers from Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, and was published in the March 2010 issue of the Journal of the American College of Radiology.
