In a new study,
laser beams were used for early detection of
oral cancer. The laser can also be used during surgical procedures to help doctors in determining the borders of a
tumor. The study was conducted by researchers from UC Davis Health System in Sacramento, California. It will be highlighted in the next issue of the journal
Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
