SAVI Improves Radiotherapy Effects

According to a recent study, using Strut-Adjusted Volume Implant (SAVI) while conducting radiotherapy reduce cancer growth and limit the complications that accompany other types of brachytherapy. SAVI focuses radiation doses on the target cancerous tissue and thus it minimize radiation exposure to the surrounding health tissues. The study was published in the International Journal of Radiation Oncology, Biology and Physics.
