Radiotherapy Increases Infant Mortalities For Women

According to a new study, women with cancer who had radiotherapy when they were children are having higher risk for stillbirth or infant mortalities in later stages of their lives. Researchers mentioned that delivering radiotherapy to the pelvic area in childhood elevates the risk for losing babies by up to 12 times. The study was published in the online edition of The Lancet medical journal.
